The NFL Draft starts on the 28th, so we’re in the final countdown stages before all the speculation, pondering and analysis becomes meaningless, and we’ll have actual physical players to look at and speculate, ponder and analyze!

The San Francisco 49ers have a massive 12 picks in the draft—no team in the NFL has more. While they don’t quite top the list of draft capital, they perhaps have more flexibility than any other team in the draft. That means they’re high on the list of franchises who will be busy moving around and filling their wide variety of needs; they don’t need to just sit back and take 12 players at their pre-assigned slots.

Consider this your final pre-draft guide of what you need to know—all the facts, figures and rumors leading up to draft day itself. While some of this information will become outdated as soon as the trades and picks start coming in, it can still be a helpful guide to have with you over the course of the draft.

Will the 49ers get the quarterback of their dreams? Will they draft a major-impact defender? Will they repair the offensive line? Will they draft twelve people with massive ACL tears who will never see the football field? All these questions, and more, will be answered starting on Thursday night. Here’s our best attempt to answer those questions before then.
