Rounding out the draft class is former Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds.

I wrote about him here and scouts project him as a running back or even as a slot receiver. Either way, he fits perfectly into head coach Chip Kelly’s scheme as a pass-catching back or slot receiver. He brings his triple-option offense background, where Navy ran a mixture of zone, dive and toss plays and, as a runner, he knows how to find the seams in the running game.

Keenan finished his career as the NCAA touchdown leader with 88. He also finished fifth in the Heisman voting for 2015.

By drafting Reynolds, the 49ers are getting an athlete who has the potential to contribute immediately and a leader with great character. Reynolds will also likely have to serve out his service commitment near where ever he lands in the draft or as an UDFA.
