No. 7: San Francisco 49ers

2015 Record: 5-11

The Pick: WR Laquon Treadwell, Ole Miss

Will quarterback Colin Kaepernick stay in San Francisco? Or will he be dealt to the New York Jets as recent rumors have suggested? Who knows. Even if he stays, the 49ers may be looking for a new quarterback in 2016 with head coach Chip Kelly at the helm and an offense ranking dead last in the league in 2015.

The 49ers have plenty of holes to fill this offseason. But they need playmakers and especially on the offensive side of the ball.

Ole Miss Laquon Treadwell is the best receiver in this draft. The 6’2″, 210-pound prospect would be an ideal replacement for veteran wideout Anquan Boldin, who is set to be a free agent this offseason. And he would be an upgrade over receivers like Quinton Patton, Bruce Ellington and a perfect complement to Torrey Smith.

San Francisco may look at a quarterback in Round 1. But in a weak QB class, the Niners are better off stocking up on impact players who can provide an offensive boost right away.
