No. 27: Green Bay Packers

2015 Record: 10-6

The Pick: DT Jarran Reed, Alabama

2015 may have been somewhat of an anomaly for the Green Bay Packers and was marred by injuries and up-and-down stretches over the course of the season.

One of the primary weaknesses from the Packers was on defense and, in particular, against the run. This unit allowed 1,905 yards on the ground, which was 21st in the NFL last season.

Alabama defenders received plenty of accolades last season guarding against rushing attacks, so the Packers going with defensive tackle Jarran Reed is a clear-cut choice.

He’s a versatile component along the defensive line and would add some bulk to a unit that could stand to cut down on some of those high rushing totals from last season — important considering Green Bay has to play against running back Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings twice a year.
