Defensive End Emmanuel Ogbah, Oklahoma State

6’3″, 275 pounds

Collegiate Statistics

The 49ers need some pass-rushing help in order to give outside linebacker Aaron Lynch some assistance in 2016. With plenty of uncertainty surrounding defensive end Tank Carradine and his future role with the team, general manager Trent Baalke may be looking to shore up this need early in the draft.

This is where Oklahoma State defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah comes into the mix.

Ogbah registered 26.5 sacks and 35.5 tackles for a loss over three collegiate seasons. He’s a beast of a player and can disrupt the pocket extremely well. Imagine Ogbah and fellow DE Arik Armstead attacking the pocket and allowing players like Lynch to rush the passer.

Defensive tackle Quinton Dial could move back to a nose tackle position if fellow DT Ian Williams departs via free agency.

CBS Sports projects Ogbah as a late first- or early second-round pick.

If his stock doesn’t move, it would be a very real possibility for Ogbah to be on the board when San Francisco is poised to select early on in Round 2.
