2015 Cap Hit: $660,000

Linebacker Michael Wilhoite has had the pleasure of backing up both linebackers Patrick Willis and NaVorro Bowman before being pushed into a more prominent role in 2014 when Bowman was recovering from his 2014 knee injury.

Now as a full-time starter, Wilhoite’s production hasn’t exactly garnered the best results on the field. Yes, he’s second on the team in total tackles (62) but he’s also a liability in coverage and offers next to nothing in the pass rush.

San Francisco traded for inside linebacker Gerald Hodges during the season, who could end up filling the void next year should the 49ers elect to let Wilhoite walk.

This is probably what they’ll do.

Decision: Walk
