Defensive End Tony Jerod-Eddie (RFA)

2015 Cap Hit: $585,000

San Francisco’s defensive line looks as if it has its starters lined up in 2016: Quinton Dial, Arik Armstead and, potentially, Ian Williams (also on the free-agent list). And this unit will also look to get injured defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey (knee) back into the fray next year.

That doesn’t leave much room for defensive end Tony Jerod-Eddie especially if the 49ers want to press fellow end Tank Carradine into the mix more next season.

But D-lines tend to take a lot of punishment over the course of a season, and Jerod-Eddie has been one of the more serviceable backups during his four-year career in San Francisco.

Considering the 49ers can counter any offer made elsewhere, Jerod-Eddie may best be served remaining in San Francisco as a decent backup option next season.

Decision: Keep
