When the lockout finally ends the 49ers quarterback question will end as well. With free agency and draft picks being able to sign contracts the 49ers will most likely go Alex Smith, Colin Kaepernick and David Carr at quarterback. Until we see Kaepernick on the field it is assumed Smith, cringe, will be the man under center for the 49ers. But what if Kaepernick learns the offense quickly with tutelage from Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, by studying Jim Harbaugh’s playbook, assuming he obtained a copy from a Niner player, and excels in training camp? Kaepernick will mostly likely be the second string quarterback next season but answer the poll question and tell us what you think in the comments.
