Former San Francisco 49ers tackle William “Bubba” Paris has found himself in hot water as of late, for failing to file his Federal income tax returns. The news should not be surprising to Paris as he neglected to file his tax returns from 2006-2008 according to the U.S. Department of Justice. In addition, Paris accumulated a gross income of $183,000 over that span.

Paris, who currently serves as a motivational speaker and part time 49ers analyst for KTVU’s “Point After,” did not return a phone call or email sent to his motivational speaking company. He will appear before a judge in Oakland to face misdemeanor charges in early March. If convicted, he could face up to one year in prison and a $100,000 fine.

The former three-time Super Bowl champion, Paris played in the NFL from 1983-1991 for three teams, including the San Francisco 49ers (1993-1990), Indianapolis Colts (1991), and Detroit Lions (1991). A former second-round draft pick out of the University of Michigan, Paris started 105 of 130 career NFL games played.

Paris currently resides in Discovery Bay and his happily married with six children, two of which play in the WNBA for the Chicago Sky (Courtney) and Phoenix Mercury (Ashley).
