]]> Editors Note: 49ers fans I’d like to apologize for my absence lately here at Niner Noise.  I have been hard at work on the Fansided Networks UNC Tar Heels site Keeping It Heel.  As the season approaches I intend to share more of my thoughts on the 49ers with you the Niner Faithful as we get set to charge towards our sixth superbowl championship!

It seems like forever ago when Andre Carter racked up double digit sacks as a member of the San Francisco 49ers before cashing in on a free agent contract with the Washington Redskins.  Carter never lived up to the superstar status his rich contract and his breakout season with the Niners suggested.
