The San Francisco 49ers aren’t the only NFL team with questions surrounding the future of their head coach. While Chip Kelly may not survive into 2017, let’s take a look at remaining head coaches who are on the hot seat as the 2016 season hits its final stretch.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Chip Kelly might be the latest one-and-done guy in Santa Clara. But he’s not the only NFL head coach in danger of losing his job this offseason.

A 1-9 record and nine-game losing streak would put many a head coach in jeopardy. This was supposed to be a season in which the 49ers showed some improvement. Instead, we’ve seen a large-scale regression, thanks in large measure, to a talent-strapped roster.

It’s possible this is a primary reason why Kelly’s job is safe. For now, at least. Simply put, Kelly doesn’t have the talent necessary to implement any sort of successful efforts.

What about the rest of the NFL though?

Kelly isn’t alone in worrying about his future at the helm of a franchise. There are plenty of other head coaches who might wind up seeing their tenures come to an end by, or even before, the conclusion of Week 17.

Let’s take a look at those coaches as well and see why each could be fired or retained.

And we’ll start off with Kelly.

Note: Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher isn’t on here since, well, he somehow seems to survive on a year-to-year basis.
