San Francisco 49ers outside linebacker Aldon Smith has had his fair share of off-field incidents. In July he resolved some of his legal situations with his off-field issues, specifically the DUI and gun charges.
He got off relatively easily with three years of probation and some work days. That doesn’t mean he has avoided punishment from the NFL and still has to meet with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
Given the penalty Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice received for allegedly hitting his fiancee, he can’t be too worried.
49ers LB Aldon Smith, facing a significant suspension, is scheduled to meet with Roger Goodell in NY next Friday, Aug. 8, per NFL source.
