Just a day after Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman talked about wanting to play Michael Crabtree the rest of his career and choke him out, the San Francisco 49er wide receiver responded.
In an interview with TDDaily.com, Michael Crabtree opened up a bit regarding the recent comments made by Richard Sherman.
I’m not sick of him…People like to forget that I was out for six months last year. Six months because of my leg! Can you imagine that? But they kick you when you’re down. Just how it is. I’m OK with it.
The almost nonchalant remarks by Crabtree only intensify what is without a doubt, the best rivalry in the NFL and builds up an already juicy storyline for Thanksgiving night.
With the addition of Stevie Johnson to the 49ers, teams may see more three wide receiver sets, allowing for Crabtree to play in the slot. This would mean there’s a very real possibility that we may not get that many Crabtree-Sherman opportunities in 2014, although I can almost guarantee we’ll get a couple of end zone jump balls between the two.
In the meantime, the rivalry bids between Sherman and Crabtree. Not even Professional Wrestling could have written a better script between the two.
