Goodbye, for Now

Dear Readers,

It may sadden some of you–and I am sure it will make some others excited–to know that I will be taking a hiatus for a couple of months from writing for Niner Noise. In the meantime, you will be in good and capable hands. I will return mid-August. So goodbye, for now.

It has been a joy and privilege to write for Niner Noise. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here as both a writer and editor for almost a year now. It has been a growing experience for me as a writer. I have come a good ways, but certainly have more work to do. I look forward to continue to hone my craft and write about our beloved San Francisco 49ers upon my return.

The reason for my temporary leave is that I will be outside of the country (China), and unable to perform my duties appropriately. I look forward to my return, but I am also excited for the adventure life has in store for me.

In the meantime will come more 49ers OTAs, Minicamp, and Training Camp–as well as, hopefully, a new contract or two–or three, or four–for some 49ers studs. Navarro Bowman will continue to make progress in his recovery, hopefully Colin Kaepernick can continue to grow and his situation can get resolved–not to mention Aldon Smith‘s–rookies will get acclimated to 4949 Centennial Blvd, and Levi’s Stadium will gleam ever brighter as Week two comes ever closer.

Certainly something new and interesting will pop up amidst the plenty of things will appear in your news feed packaged as “breaking news” that, well, tell the same story that’s been appearing for the last few weeks. Such is all NFL news media.

So with that said, I wish you all adieu. Have a fantastic summer, and GO 49ers!!!!!

Sincerely,

Douglas Totten
