In “Where 49ers Rookies Fit 1” we looked at where the 49ers’ draft picks in rounds 1-3 will work into Jim Harbaugh‘s plans for this year and beyond. Here we look at rounds 4 through 7. The 49ers got to work on the third day of the NFL draft. Instead of constantly trading back, they began to make more selections. They also shifted more towards drafting need over best player available–hence three cornerbacks in four picks. These players face tougher odds than the earlier picks, of course, but the middle rounds are also where the best teams are built. Where will these rookies fit?
