Finally, players on the Seattle Seahawks have grown exhausted of their loud fans and issued a statement telling them to shut up for the NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers.
According to this article, Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch said the following on behalf of the Seahawks roster about their so-called “12th Man” fans (Warning: Graphic Language):
Hey, assholes, shut the fuck up and stop running your fucking mouths. Yeah, we’re a good team and we’re having a good season. But that doesn’t mean you dickheads need to be constantly talking shit about us being the Super Bowl favorites and saying that no other team will have a chance against us for years to come. And just so we’re absolutely clear, you dumbasses aren’t ‘the 12th man,’ either. So just shut the fuck up already. Seriously, shut the fuck up.
Lynch also said their loud fans are “annoying” and “massively disrespectful.”
The source of this quote gives away the obvious sarcasm in the article. However, the underlying point here is that we get it Seattle, you have loud fans…but so do the rest of the 31 NFL teams. The difference being that we are not pretentious enough, nor do we think it necessary, to claim to be the loudest fans in the NFL and try setting Guinness World Records that are broken multiple times by other fans. Because, you know, being loud and all has won the Seahawks so many Super Bowl rings.
Remember, the number 49 is always greater than 12. #49>12
