Gone Crabin’

Michael Crabtree is the most important player and the X factor in order for the 49ers to advance to the Divisional Round. Crabtree was out with an injury in the Week 1 contest against the Packers, but in the last playoff meeting the wideout had nine receptions for 119 yards and two touchdowns. Since Crabtree returned he has been a favorite target for Colin Kaepernick, averaging 14.9 yards per reception.

With Crabtree, Anquan Boldin and Vernon Davis all receiving threats, the Packers defense cannot double-cover all three, so someone will be open one-on-one. The key is Kaepernick having the time to find the open receiver and being able to exploit the matchups he likes the most on the play.

The return of Crabtree has transformed the 49ers offense, which has contributed to Kaepernick throwing for ten touchdowns and only one interception during the six-game winning streak.
