Power Rankings By The Number Week 16

With just 2 weeks left in the regular season your San Francisco 49ers are firing on all cylinders. Winners of 4 straight they look like they can beat any team in the league. With a win Monday the 49ers will punch their ticket to the playoffs and would take over the 5th seed for the time being. The Niners could already have a spot in the playoffs clinched if the Cardinals were to lose at Seattle on Sunday which is also highly likely.

With your 49ers almost guaranteed to be in the post-season and if you look through are ranking there is no one they would play in the first round ahead of them. Barring a complete collapse by the Seahawks the 49ers will face the winner of either the NFC East or North in the wildcard round.

The 49ers are 10-4 and are up the 8th in our rankings. Here’s how all 32 teams stack up stat wise thru 15 weeks of football.

The biggest mover last week was Minnesota after beating the Eagles 48-30. The next biggest mover was San Francisco up 3 spots to 8th. As we said last week there was a lot of room to move up even stating 8th was very reachable. Another big win this week could push the 49ers as high as 6th.

What looked like a difficult game when the schedule came out, this Falcons team looks very vulnerable. After losing many key players in the offseason, the Falcons have been riddled by injuries mainly on offense that has Matt Ryan with a receiving core that resembled that of either the Patriots or Chargers, yeah that’s bad. Accompany that with a defense that hasn’t stopped anyone, it’s no wonder why Atlanta is having an off year.

Even so this is a game not to look past because Atlanta will want to avenge their postseason loss from a season ago. The Niners will look to send Candlestick out the right way and should be ready for anything in this game.

Fans enjoy the final regular season game at Candlestick, while it isn’t the nicest stadium by no means, it’s history comes 2nd to no other and it has held the moments that has made us fans of this great organization.
