Power Rankings By The Numbers Week 14

The San Francisco 49ers were able to take care of business last week against the Rams, allowing them to stay in the driver seat for the final wildcard spot. Seattle’s victory over the Saints just about put an end to any kind of run at a 3rd straight division title. In the end it will come down to getting on a run at the end of the season, and this team has a good shot at it.

Your 49ers are back up to the number 9 spot thanks to their win and losses by teams like San Diego and Arizona. The Niners could make a lot of noise with a win over top ranked Seattle this weekend. In all a win won’t mean much come playoff time, as the 49ers will likely make the playoffs and Seattle will more than likely be the #1 seed, but it could just give this team the confidence it needs if they have to go play Seattle again in the postseason.

The biggest movers stemmed from the early Thanksgiving day game. Detroit vaulted up 7 spots to number five while Green Bay fell just as many to 14. There was a 43 point swing in the 2 games those teams played this year, all but proving why Rodgers is the most important player to his team in the NFL. They have a home game against Atlanta this weekend and tickets are the lowest they’ve been in 15 years. Rodgers is still expected to be out even though he practiced for the first time this week.

Detroit has turned into a scary team. If they could find a way to cut down on the turnovers they would have just as good a shot as any team in the NFC at being the representative in the Superbowl.
