Power Rankings By The Numbers Week 13

Despite a blowout win over the Redskins the San Francisco 49ers fell to tenth in our rankings. If these rankings measure anything it is the overall consistency of a team. The Niners have looked like a Superbowl contender at times, while others you’ve been left questioning if they are even a playoff team. Beating the Redskins will go a long way into making the playoffs, and as a fan you can’t ask for much more at this point.

With Michael Crabtree returning from injury expect Colin Kaepernick to thrive. He’s missed his favorite target from a year ago and having Crabtree, Boldin, and Davis on the field all at the same time someone will be able to get open on every play. It might be too late in the season for them to move up in the rankings to the top, but on the field they will be arguably the best team out there no matter the opponent.

The biggest gainers this week were the Chargers and the Cardinals. Both teams have been playing great football and the Cardinals have knocked off 2 playoff teams the Niners lost to. The Chargers are a lot better than their 5-6 record having just flat out blown 4 games they should have won.

The team who dropped the farthest was the Indianapolis Colts. The struggles have left the owner Jim Irsay taking to twitter and calling out the team. They lost to Arizona and now have to worry about even winning their division. Tennessee is 2 games back and is traveling to Indianapolis this weekend.

The 49ers host the Rams whom the beat earlier this year in St Louis. The Rams have won 2 games in a row over teams with winnings records by a combined score of 80-29. Last year in San Francisco the teams played to a tie. This year the 49ers are currently an 8 point favorite.

Enjoy your holiday week, family, friends, food, and above all else football.
