Have no fear Michael Crabtree is here!

According to 49ers.com the 49ers have activated Michael Crabtree of the Reserve/PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) list on Tuesday afternoon. To make room for Crabtree on the roster the Niners waived third string quarterback Mcleod Bethel-Thompson.

It’s been a rocky year for Colin Kaepernick and Co. but the Niners are headed in the right direction following a crushing victory over the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football. Sitting at 7-4 the Niners are deep in the hunt for a playoff spot, although the wildcard position seems more likely than 1st place in the NFC West at this point.

Adding Crabtree to the weapon arsenal will certainly boost the passing offense in the right direction.

A wide receiving corps that includes Anquan Boldin, Vernon Davis, Mario Manningham, and now Crabtree,  instantly becomes one of the most feared tandems in the league.

Crabtree was put on the Reserve/PUP list on Aug. 27th and resumed practice on Nov. 5th. It remains to be seen how productive he will be on the field coming back from a severe ACL injury.

When asked about Crabtree’s return next week against the St. Louis Rams Jim Harbaugh stated that he should be ready. “I anticipate that,” he said.
