It has been 12 weeks, but finally the San Francisco 49ers are about to officially get their No. 1 weapon back at wide receiver.
Michael Crabtree, who has spent the entire season on the PUP list (physically unable to perform), will be activated to the 53-man roster on Tuesday. Although not officially done yet, the 49ers have until Tuesday November 27 to activate Crabtree or place him on the injured reserve list, but it appears Crabtree will be on the active roster the rest of the season up to and including the playoffs if San Francisco makes it.
Following Monday Night’s win over Washington, 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh told the media that he anticipated Crabtree would be playing Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, albeit on a very limited snap count.
With the 49ers currently holding onto the 6th and final playoff spot and and in a virtual tie with their NFC West division rivals, the Arizona Cardinals, the remaining five games will go a long way in determining the 49ers playoff fate.
San Francisco stays home for the next two games against St. Louis on Sunday before a showdown with the Seattle Seahawks on Dec 8.
