What to do on the 49ers’ Bye Week

With no San Francisco 49ers game this Sunday, what is there to do this weekend? Well, despite the fact that 6 teams have a bye this weekend—a quirk of NFL scheduling due to a late Thanksgiving this year—there are some things that 49ers can do.

For those fans not in California or other warm weather areas, yard work is definitely an option. You need to rake up the leaves before that first snow comes in a few weeks! For those smart enough to live where snow is not an issue, perhaps a nice haircut will do. Maybe you can find Colin Kaepernick’s favorite barber shot/tattoo parlor and get yourself a tat and a shave. (By the way, if you did not see Kaepernick’s Jaguar promotional series about where he likes to go in San Francisco, you should check it out here. I personally do not understand why he goes to the barber every week for the simple haircut he has, but I’m not about to sign an outrageous contract this offseason either.)

Some other options for Sunday include going for a walk in the park, playing Madden, watching ESPN despondently as you know they will not update any 49ers score, or, perhaps, actually watching some football. The Baltimore Ravens-Cleveland Browns game could get interesting and Jeff Fisher is up against his former team, the Tennessee Titans. The Niners may not play, but you can still find something to do. I hope.
