For the first time since entering a rehab facility, San Francisco 49ers fans heard how Aldon Smith is doing in his recovery. At a news conference on Monday, Jim Harbaugh said Smith had sent him texts updating the Niners head coach on his progress.
Harbaugh said of the texts,
Heard things are going well, very positive.
It is great to hear Smith’s recovery is coming along nicely. He has missed the last two games. There is no timetable for his return, but speculation is the outside linebacker will be out for at least a month. So far, fellow linebackers Dan Skuta and Corey Lemonier have done an outstanding job filling in.
