The much talked about eyebrow bet between quarterbacks Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson is fiction, not fact. Wilson confirmed this when talking to KJR Radio in Seattle:
It was more of just a friendly, joking around type deal. It’s not real serious. We’ll probably do something digitally. Something like that.
The matchup between the division rivals on Sunday Night Football is one of the premier games of the early 2013 season. The supposed bet involved the losing quarterback shaving off an eyebrow. The way it came about was because of a promotional video the two did for Madden NFL 25. In the video, which is below, Wilson says “whoever loses has to shave an eyebrow.” To which Kaepernick replies, “alight, hope you don’t like your eyebrow.”
In his radio interview Wilson also said, jokingly, “He’s going to have to shave off his [eyebrows].”
But as much as Niner fans would love to see Wilson with one eyebrow after game, because there is no way San Francisco loses the game this weekend, it was just all in good fun.
Kaepernick said in an interview that during the commercial shot for Madden NFL 25 he had “just a few brief conversations in between shoots” with Wilson. When asked if they continued a relationship or if they text each other, he said “no.”
