Jaworski: Colin Kaepernick 11th Best QB in NFL

San Francisco 49ers star QB Colin Kaepernick may have only played in 10 games this past year, but he has already brought his team to within five yards of a Super Bowl ring. ESPN’s Ron Jaworski has taken notice, ranking Kaepernick his 11th best QB in the NFL in 2013.

Jaworski, a former QB for the Philadelphia Eagles, has been ranking the top-32 QBs in the NFL and he has proven to be adept at seeing what qualities NFL quarterbacks need to be successful in the NFL. Jaws has been a big fan of Kaepernick since putting on the tape, saying he has an “elite” skill set and that he will become better than the 11th best QB in no time.

“Kaepernick has a chance to be very special. He has a complete throwing skill set with a powerful arm that I absolutely put at gun level. His ball comes out with a lot of energy and velocity. And Kaepernick can drive the ball down the field, on the move, with accuracy. . . Kaepernick is one of the four or five most physically talented quarterbacks in the entire NFL”.

Kaepernick has shown his elite skill set against some of the best teams in the NFL and became a household name after demolishing the Green Bay Packers defense.

Former 49ers QB Alex Smith ranked 20th overall for the Kansas City Chiefs.

It will be interesting to see how Kaepernick and the 49ers respond after a devastating Super Bowl loss, but the 49ers and their fans have to feel at peace that they have their Franchise QB for the next decade.

Where would you rank Kaepernick among the other starting QBs in the NFL?

Dude hasn’t played a whole season and he’s already the 11th best?

The league has film on him now…It’s time for him to experience some growing pains.

The same could be said about Rookie QBs; Wilson, Luck, RG3, and all of them were ranked rather high. It could also be said other teams will have more film on Rookie Coaches such as Jeff Fisher, Bruce Arians from his Head Coaching stint at Indy, and Mannings first year in Denver.

The 49er coaches have already looked through tape of all the teams they will play next season and are already preparing premature game plans for those games, and each week they will update those plans with all the incoming information that will be picked up before the season starts.

After the 2011 NFC Championship game Harbaugh was asked what he would be doing in the off season, he clearly stated that he would be preparing for the Green Bay game. I think that is true again this year.
