Earlier in the offseason, San Francisco 49ers rising star Colin Kaepernick graced the cover of ESPN’s Fantasy Football Magazine, now he is being featured on ESPN the Magazine’s Body Issue — this time wearing a little bit less cloth on his muscular body.
Kaepernick Instagrammed the cover this morning captioning “@Espnmag cover released today! #Espnbody #bodyissue”. Kaepernick, a physical specimen known for his laser rocket arm and gazelle like legs, is not shown throwing, but running and accentuating his muscles along with his ever-so-popular tattoos.
“Just breaking the standard, breaking the mold. Whether it’s having tattoos, whether it’s playing a different style of offense, I want people to look at me and say, ‘He’s successful and he’s doing it a different way.’ ” – Colin Kaepernick
Kaepernick has transitioned from athletic backup quarterback to the present and future of the 49ers and his fame has risen with him. From presenting at the Country Music Awards this offseason to wearing other teams hats, the lack of news allows for small stories that shouldn’t even be broached to become the headline of the day. Kaepernick is hoping that wearing no clothes is better then wearing a Miami Dolphin hat.
Kaepernick will look to put all the offseason headlines behind him as he enters his first full Training Camp as the starting QB for the San Francisco 49ers when he and the other veterans report on July 24th.
