The San Francisco 49ers announced today that rookies will report to Training Camp on July 19th, followed by the veterans reporting on July 24th to the team facilities in Santa Clara.
I’ll allow you the time to jump for joy…Okay, now that you’ve calmed down, take a breath, go grab a cold beverage because we are now officially less than three weeks away from Training Camp and that much closer to the start of the 2013 NFL Season.
The 49ers are hungry to return to work after a bitter defeat earlier in the year to the Baltimore Ravens in the Super Bowl. Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers will look to maintain their dominance over the NFC West despite the Seattle Seahawks and St. Louis Rams making considerable leaps into contention and the Arizona Cardinals bringing in a veteran QB to try and stabilize their anemic passing game.
The 49ers aren’t without questions in Training Camp, including: Who will replace Michael Crabtree? Will Eric Reid start at Safety as a rookie? Who is the punt returner? Can Kaepernick maintain his stellar play? Is Justin Smith healthy? Will Candlestick Park fall apart before it’s blown up? The 49ers hope to have all these questions answered by the end of Training Camp.
