After a couple of weeks of rookie workouts and OTAs, Jim Harbaugh is hoping the team doesn’t suffer any more serious injuries after Michael Crabtree. His hands will already be full figuring his roster for the new season and determining who will replace Crabtree’s production in the offense.
The competition is only beginning but Harbaugh believes one of the young receivers will rise to the occasion to fill in for Crabtree. The young receivers include A.J. Jenkins, Ricardo Lockette and Quinton Patton.
The offense will look often to receiver Anquan Boldin and he will do a good job of replacing some of Crabtree’s production. But one of the young receivers will have to step up as well if the 49ers want to make it all the way back to the Super Bowl.
