The San Francisco 49ers touched down in New Orleans around 7 p.m. local time, on Delta Airlines Flight #8864 from Mineta San Jose International Airport. Their arrival was an early bird special, considering they were about an hour ahead of schedule. In a once in a lifetime opportunity to play in the Super Bowl, none of the players, coaches, or management, were seen basking in their glory, as no camcorders were present, according to NFL Network.
For a team that only has four players with Super Bowl experience, including C Jonathan Goodwin, WR Randy Moss, K David Akers, and OLB Clark Haggans, it was business as usual for the 49ers.
With the Baltimore Ravens scheduled to arrive on Monday afternoon, it gives the 49ers an extra night of rest, as the Niners prepare for their “Quest for Six.”
