Will the 49ers Defense Step Up

There are only 30 minutes left to turn things around or we’ll be waiting another year for a chance at this opportunity. The offense has shown the ability to move the ball after the first 2 3-and-outs. They won’t be able to do it on their own, it will take a team effort to comeback for a win.

Atlanta made us looked overmatched in the first half. Matt Ryan has all the time the world and doesn’t have to get past his 3rdread. In fact Julio Jones, Roddy White, and Tony Gonzalez has made for all his completions along with 271 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The one bright spot for the defense has been they have been able to stop the run, which isn’t saying a lot against Atlanta. Other than that we’ve forced a punt and held them field goal. That doesn’t lead to W’s if we consider those victories.

The defense has to keep Atlanta out of the end-zone, because I don’t think we can stop them from moving the ball. The great part about this game is you are always just one big play away from changing the game. Enjoy the second half. Go Niners.
