New York Giants Vs. San Francisco 49ers: Q&A With G-MEN HQ

To Preview the New York Giants vs. San Francisco 49ers game, Niner Noise did a Q&A with fan website G-MEN HQ.  Enjoy and go 49ers!

Q.  Tom Coughlin said this week that ‘nobody giving us chance to win’ over the 49ers. Do Giants fans feel the same way?

A.  Yes, Giants fans feel the same way, and we love that feeling.  For some reason the team plays it’s best ball when no one believes in them.  We were unanimous choices to lose to Carolina earlier this year, and played our most complete game.  We also were not supposed to win any of the playoff games or Super Bowls we have won in the past few years.

Q.  Which Giants player on offense and defense needs to step up in order to pull off the win?

A.  The team will need Linval Joseph and either Marvin Austin, or Markus Kuhn to step up on defense, while the addition of Keith Rivers back into the line-up will certainly help.  On Offense it is the entire line that must perform well.

Q.  The Giants defense has multiple starters players listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.  Which player will the Giants D miss the most if he sits out with an injury?

A.  The Giants will miss Rocky Bernard most of all.  With the great 9ers running game to face, we are weakest at the defensive tackle position.  This also limits our middle pass rush, leaving it easier to double our talented D ends.

Q.  The Giants rushing attack ran all over the Browns last week with 243 yards.  Will the Giants rely on their running game to or passing game to move down the field against the 49ers defense?

A.  The Giants will aim to be balanced.  The O-line is the key to this game, if we can run some, then Eli gets the time he needs, and we all know he has plenty of weapons on hand with Nicks, Cruz, Randle, Barden, and Bennett.

Q.  What is your predication for the game?

A.  Another close affair, but I feel the offenses will have more to say this time around.
