49ers Poll: Which 49ers Player Will Have A Surprising Pro Bowl Season?

Credit: Jason O. Watson-US PRESSWIRE

Last season the there were a number of San Francisco 49ers players who had surprising years.  There was Aldon Smith who had a breakout year with 14 sacks as a rookie.  Alex Smith had a comeback season with 17 touchdowns and only five interceptions after being labeled a bust.  The 49ers sent nine players to the Pro Bowl that included first time selections for Carlos Rogers and Dashon Goldson.

This season the 49ers return all but one starting player on offense and defense.  Even though a majority of the team is back, there will still be players who will either be a surprising Pro Bowl selection or have a breakout season.

Newcomers like LaMichael James and Randy Moss could provide the extra spark the offense lacked last season.  Returning 49er C.J. Spillman could start in place of Goldson at safety if he does not sign his franchise tender offer, and could have a Pro Bowl season.  Offensive lineman Alex Boone could make a big impact at right guard where he will take over the starting job from Adam Snyder who signed with the Cardinals as a free agent.

Who do you think will be the surprising breakout star for the 49ers this season?  Answer in the poll and tell us your thoughts in the comments!
