Just when you think the Niners were moving on from Rogers to go with a younger cornerback, they get a deal done. The 49ers and Rogers reached a 4 year deal Tuesday night worth up to 31.3 million. This means we will have all 11 starters back on defense for next year. Rogers, who is 31, tied for the team lead last year with 6 interceptions and made his first pro bowl.
Expect the Alex Smith deal to be done within the next couple of days, which will make the roster look quite similar to last year. It will be interesting to see how Harbaugh coaches them up with a full off-season to work with.
