Teams will unlikely trade for Spencer. This is more of a move to keep peace with the player, but the 49ers have no bargaining room on this one. The rest of the league knows if they don't trade for him, the Niners will likely cut him making him available anyway. Perhaps a team desperate for a cornerback gives up a day 3 draft pick just so they know what they are getting. Even if the Niners get a 6th or a 7th thats still better than keeping veteran #5 corner.
