Agree with above free agent outlook except for safety. If we let Reggie Smith (no) and Madieu Williams (yes) go, we need more quality depth at corner and safety. Remember the tying touchdown in the Giants game was scored on Tremaine Brock, Tarrell Brown had been knocked out (literally) and Culliver was not in. We need good 2nd and 3rd round picks in these areas. For first round, we need more quality depth at center. For later rounds, we also need a solid backup at right guard, and a big swing tackle for either side if someone goes down. The first answer for our offense to recover from its chronic anemia is at the O-line. Everyone's talking about a big-name FA WR but we have traditionally not done well on those at all. Stick to our knitting and strengthen the O-line first. Btw, if we keep Alex, definitely keep Kaepernick and Tolziel, both good prospects.

we def can't sign them all unless we get creative and restructure some deals. I say draft smart, assign a value to each player and don't overspend on anyone. My column publishing in a cpl days focuses on our cap situation, pending FAs and possible acquisitions with a similar tone.
