Colin is better than Alex... 1 for 13 on 3rd down won't win any game especially an NFC Championship game. Furthermore, throughout the season Smith threw short high percentage passes and only had a completion percentage of 61.4. It was short passing routes that kept him from throwing the high risk passes that result in interceptions keeping the negative numbers down and enhancing his qb rating. No, Kaptain Kaep will not be starting next year, but that doesn't mean we need to "delusional", using you term, and believe Alex Smith can get the Niners over that last hurdle.

I'm 100% fine w/Colin sitting on the bench. Aaron Rogers sat for what 4 years? Colin is a heck of an athlete with a great arm, he's not an NFL QB yet. Until he's better than Alex he can hold the clipboard.
