I've always felt that Alex had a chance to be a decent to slightly above average QB. If anything, Alex has demonstrated his ability to not "lose" games by himself. While spotty at times, last year, he was the benefactor of numerous tipped passes that ended up in an opponents waiting hands. Some of this is due to his lack of "touch" with the power behind the throws, while the rest was due to a slew of reasons. Alex will never be a Joe or Steve. And, he's probably around the middle of the overall list of QB's in the league. Alex won't win games, but he never has done much to actually "lose" a game. I am supportive of him, yet, I do not believe that he will ever be our "QB of the future". Rather, he will keep us in games...have crap statistics, and....bear the burden of Niner Nation's complaints.
