Bears free agent center Olin Kreutz has been in Chicago the past 13 seasons and even though the two sides have been talking a new contract the 49ers hope to sign the center. The 49ers sent Kreutz a contract on Wednesday and although he has not signed a contract he did miss the Bears reporting day on Friday. The six-time Pro Bowl center would be a welcomed addition as last years starter at the position David Baas signed with another team this week. Kreutz has played in 134 consecutive games since 2002. With the 49ers recent troubles Kreutz would provide an experienced veteran leader to the 49ers young offensive line.
