When the 2011 season starts 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree will be entering his second full season in the NFL. Crabtree famously held out his rookie year from training camp until the middle of the season and despite only playing in 11 games he posted impressive numbers (48 receptions, 625 receiving yards, 2 touchdowns). In his first full season last year Crabtree surpassed his rookie numbers however it was not by an overwhelming margin (55 receptions, 741 receiving yards, 6 touchdowns). Crabtree has stayed true to his diva title with a spat with Alex Smith and who knows if he will show up to practice or play in any of the preseason games. Crabtree will need to exceed his stats from last season with at least 1,000 receiving yards on the year. Crabtree will be an integral part of Jim Harbaugh’s offense so he will need a career year this season.
