An Open Letter To Mr. DeBartolo Jr: Mr. DeBartolo, like no other owner of the 49ers, you gave the team & the City of San Francisco, class, dignity, and you made us 5 time SB champions. Here in the City of San Francisco we miss your leadership on the team, and we love you dearly. But Mr. on the stadium issue we differ with you, the 49ers belong in the great City of San Francisco. You with Carmen Policy campaigned for the stadium to be built here in '97, and we the citizens of SF delivered the vote. Mr.D last Saturday night at your induction to the 49er HOF you said, "if not for my legal troubles, the stadium would have been built, and that my fault." We know Mr.D that you love your family, and you want to help your nephew Jed with the new stadium. But Mr.D this is a bad move, the 49ers belong in San Francisco. And its not just me who says this sir, history says it too. Mr. DeBartolo, do what your friend Carmen Policy said should be done...finish the job here in San Francisco that was left undone. In your heart sir you know we are right about the SF local for the stadium. Mr.D we know that after the family rift you had with the Yorks this is all about healing all the ill will. Your nephew Jed reached out to you Mr. D, and thats great. We just hope Jed isn't using you as a means to get his Stadium built in Santa Clara, because that would be sad.
