It has been reported and confirmed by Mike Singletary on 49ers.com the head coach dropped his pants in a halftime speech to make a point that the 49ers were getting their a$$ beat. Singletary dropped his pants, with his boxers on, and pointed to his rear-end.
“I used my pants to illustrate that we were getting our tails whipped on Sunday and how humiliating that should feel for all of us. I needed to do something to dramatize my point; there were other ways I could have done it, but I think this got the message across.”
The 49ers and especially Vernon [...]

Eight games have passed with eight more to go. Are you feeling hopeful? My guess is probably not.
Offense:
The 49ers are down to their number three quarterback Shaun Hill. Alex Smith proved in the preseason he is made of porcelain by getting injured without being hit and J.T. O’ Sullivan has shown why he has been a journey man back-up and not a starter before coming to the 49ers. The Mike Martz system for all of its high powered potential only works if you have the talent to execute the game plan. The 49ers have no reliable QB, their offensive line [...]

Shaun Hill will be the starter for the November 10 game against the Arizona Cardinals. This was the right move due to J.T. O’ Sullivan being incapable of holding onto the football and throwing way too many interceptions. The 49ers have a bye week this weekend so Hill will have an extra week to prepare as the man starting under center. What I don’t understand is Mike Singletary said “We may have to use both of them before it’s over.” Why even say that? Right away it diminishes the faith Singletary and Mike Martz have in Hill actually doing a [...]

Seattle Seahawks 34
San Francisco 49ers 13
Even with the hapless Seahawks, their one win and a backup starting at quarterback none of it could stop the Red and Gold from hitting rock bottom yesterday. Mike Nolan out, hello Mike Singletary. J.T. O’ Sullivan out, hello Shaun Hill. What’s next, the 49ers will hire Condoleezza Rice as team president. HA! Yeah right I give the Joke Family more credit than…damn it: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8727104/Report:-49ers-interested-in-Condi-Rice-as-team-prez
I no longer know what to say about this football team. Every aspect of it from the front office, the coaching staff and the players is in such disarray that maybe [...]

Seattle Seahawks (1-5) vs. San Francisco 49ers (2-5)
Bill Walsh Field at Candlestick Park
1:15 PM (PST)
“I don’t really know … what button to press here and what button to press there. I just know what is in my heart. I know that there is a fire that burns in my heart for this team to be successful. And that fire is unconquerable, and it will not die until it comes to pass.” Mike Singletary
The Mike Singletary Era starts against a struggling Seahawks team who lost in week two 33-30 in overtime to the 49ers and have a slightly worst record. Seahawks [...]

Many of you probably saw the news conference on Tuesday introducing Mike Singletary. Here is the full news conference in case you missed it: Mike Singletary News Conference
The incompetent Jed York and GM Scot McCloughan talk at length in the beginning. Try not throwing up when you listen to them and about how much they care turning the franchise around.

Head Coach Mike Nolan was fired by the Joke (York) family yesterday. He will be replaced by Assistant Head Coach Mike Singletary on an interim basis. I do agree with the firing but it is too little too late for the 2008 season. Nolan should have been fired during the off-season but the Joke family, always a few steps behind in decision making, decided to bring him back to…well, not win, but to…I don’t exactly know what he was brought back to do. Like Nolan before he was hired, Singletary has no previous head coaching experience and he has been [...]

San Francisco 49ers 17
New York Giants 29
This was one of the ugliest losses I have seen from the 49ers this season. J.T. O’ Sullivan needs to be benched, like last week, for way too many reasons but the 49ers only other option is Shaun Hill. Mike Nolan needs to be fired, like last year, but probably won’t be until the end of the season because the Joke Family are incompetent owners with no idea how to produce a winning football team. I could not tell who looked more inexperienced, Nolan or O’ Sullivan. Both need to go and the 49ers [...]

San Francisco 49ers (2-4) vs. New York Giants (4-1)
Giants Stadium
10:00 AM (PST)
The fourth and final game of what I have been calling Schedule Hell has reached its end. The 49ers are 0-3 during their S.H. stretch and they face perhaps the toughest team of the four they have played. The G-Men are coming off of their first lost of the season against the lowly Browns snapping an eight game winning streak dating back to the playoffs and last season. J.T. O’ Sullivan, who looked like he might be the 49ers future QB under center, played well in the first three [...]

There was one thing I thought definitely was going to happen during this past off-season…Mike Nolan was going to be fired. But I put my faith in the Joke (York) Family to actually make a good decision and well, shame on me. Instead he was told he was on the hot seat and the 49ers brought in Mike Martz to help Nolan save his job. Nolan has led the 49ers to a 2-4 record this season and he has career record of 18 wins and 36 losses. He has never finished at .500 in a season and the most wins [...]
