I’ll never remember how add that squiggly thing on top of an “N” so that I can pretend to comprendo español, but I can sure cut and paste all damn day. As for the Senior bowl (bowel?), can anyone think of a time when their team’s coaching staff had large amounts of unmolested access to young men running around in tight pants doing whatever was asked of them at all hours of the day? Some call this a “glorified combine” or a “job interview”. I say it’s just preparing Colt Brennan for his second career as a glorified fluffer on grade D gay porn shoots done in someone’s bathroom at a holiday inn express.
Still it’s probably best to take whatever one can get whatever one can out of a shitty situation like this. It’s not every day your offensive coordinator can boss around young men who aren’t team employees. It seems that Brennan(Hawaii), Andre Woodson (Kentucky) , and Erik Ainge(Tennessee) have never learned the fine arts of being a QB in a pro-style offense.
Brennan and Kentucky’s Woodson operated primarily out of the shotgun in college, and Ainge and the Volunteers also played quite a bit of spread offense. That means none of the quarterbacks has extensive practice with something as simple as taking a snap and dropping back to pass.
Now if this isn’t a bit distressing that some of the top rated college QBs don’t have a clue as to how to throw a proper pass, I don’t know what does.
Martz adjusted everything, from the depth of Brennan’s steps to how swiftly Ainge swung his hips.
Afterward, Ainge said sloppy dropbacks were No. 1 on Martz’s list of pet peeves.
It’s gotten to the point where maybe we should be questioning what these boys were being taught in college. Either that or Mike Martz is a closet case who just obsesses over the little things he wants his future sluts to memorize. I don’t know and frankly I’m not sure if I’m cool with this line of conversation. In the meanwhile, Shaun Hill & Alex Smith better watch their asses. That or Eric Heitmann may be licking his lips at who he gets the chance to “snap the ball” with.
