Drained from playoff football
Normally, I would be bubbling with enthusiasm for winning 3 out of the 4 games I bet on this weekend, but it seems that the NFL isn’t content unless I am physically and emotionally drained at the end. I barely had enough energy to eat half a bag of BBQ Lays for dinner.
With the Greenbay game delivering everything except a nail biter finish (how cool was the white out conditions at Lambeau?), how could you not like what the NFL delivered this weekend?
Win #1 - San Diego fighting off a huge choke job in Indy (LT’s not shouldering that leadership thing well - note to self, don’t buy any S.D. LT apparel),
Win #2 - My triumph that was picking the Giants to upset the cowgirls
Win #3 - Cheese in Greenbay
Fail #1 - The Patriots miracle season rolled on, but I lost taking Jax to cover.
I’ve managed to not think about the Niners for the most part, but when I did it was always painful and involved the Yorks all having simultaneous strokes and having their cats gnaw off their faces as they twitched on the floor. Something to dream about for later. For now, I’m off to bed, to try not to dream about a top ten draft pick.
